  Today wasn't what I would call a good day.  It started off well enough, and was a very slow day, which on Capitol Hill is very rare indeed.  However, about half of the house is liberal with the other half conservative, and I am the only conservative female in the house.  Most of the time this would not bother me, but today it did for some reason.  One of the reasons, I believe, is because of a few comments such as "I don't see why any American would want to be Republican."  I don't see how, if our country is to survive and thrive, how we can be anything other than conservative.  I also don't see how anybody can say that McCain is conservative, because to me, he's not.  It's easy to see that next to Obama, he's conservative, but only barely.  I am very happy about his choice in a running mate.  I haven't done that much research on her, but from what I can see Sarah Palin is right where we need our president to be in terms of political views.
  The thing that is even worse is that my roommate and I don't get along very well.  She's extremely liberal where as I am the exact opposite.
  Another problem I have is the fact that all of my house mates are either studying political science or business, so their mindset is very different from my "logical" engineering mindset.  It makes it very hard to have a conversation with any of them.  I get along very well with the students from Leeds in England, which is very nice.
  It's just very hard to be here right now because I haven't started work and spend most of the day at home with my house mates.  I just feel so lonely.  I am trying not to complain, but it's really hard.  I really need some prayer.
